In mid-November, our neighbors received nearly 80 trees to be planted in Birchwood. More than half were native trees. A huge shout out to the following for ensuring a smooth transition for these tree:

🌳 Our volunteers helped create community. They also were Indispensable in a variety of tasks including: preparing fencing, loaning their time and vehicles for tree pick up and deliveries, loading and lifting (sometimes very heavy!) trees, connecting with tree recipients, and planting trees when needed.

🌳 Whatcom Million Trees Project offered their expertise to serve in an advisory role and bringing volunteers to help!

🌳 The Tree Guy and Gals donated gorgeous mulch.
